To make your experience as productive and enjoyable as possible, please take a moment to review the following list of suggestions:

Schedule your appointment - Let the fun begin! Your McCaffrey Homes community representative can schedule your design studio appointment when you complete your purchase agreement to allow you plenty of time for questions and discussions prior to your selections cutoff date. You may need to arrange time off work as not all appointments can be on Saturdays.

Dress comfortably - Your appointment may take some time while you browse through and explore the possibilities.

Give yourself plenty of time - As appointments average two to four hours.

Arrange for a babysitter - While this is one of the most exciting parts of your home buying experience, little ones are rarely as enthusiastic.

Create your wish list - To help inspire you, look over your selections program before your appointment. Bring photos of features in the models that you may want.

Consider your lifestyle - How will each room be used? This will help set the mood and style of the room.

Think ahead - What cabinetry finishes appeal to you, appliances, fixtures, flooring and countertops? Consider furniture placement when locating cable TV and electrical outlets to determine if more may be needed.

Bring design tools - A fabric swatch from your chair, a cushion off your sofa, magazine tear outs, photos of key furniture pieces that help reflect your signature style.

Understand what is included - Make sure you have a full understanding of what features are included in your new home and what is a possibility.

Discuss your budget prior to your appointment - This will leave you more time to personalize your new home, rather than sorting out what funds will be invested on which selections. Your McCaffrey Home Mortgage loan officer and your McCaffrey Homes community representative will provide you with budget guidance.

Bring your checkbook - Normally a 25% deposit is required to finalize your selections.

Learn about the maintenance requirements and warranty commitments of the materials you are considering as it may be helpful in deciding your selections.

Expect a selection cutoff date - To keep the construction of your home on schedule, selections should normally be made within 14 days of completing your purchase agreement.

Expect Variations - New homes are one of the last handcrafted products that we purchase today. Built by dozens of trade partners, they're a combination of art, science, natural materials and craftsmanship. Because of this, expect that some of the materials in your home will vary slightly from the model and other homes in the neighborhood.
